made transcendently; it comes from a Source that exists apart from matter, energy, length, width, height, and time. Many other Bible passages reflect God’s existence “before the beginning of time” (2 Timothy 1:9; Titus 1:2) and identify Him as the Creator of the entire cosmos (John 1:3; Colossians 1:16–17). To place confidence in the truthfulness of such claims requires faith, to be sure, but that faith has its eyes wide open to facts. It is not blind, nor does the Bible endorse blind faith. The
